How to add, remove, and set a default payment method for business rides

You can add multiple credit cards to your Lyft account to set default payment methods for both your Personal and Business Profile.


To add a new credit card or payment type to a Business Profile:

  1. Tap the icon with 3 bars in the top-left of the Lyft app
  2. Tap the ‘Payment’ tab
  3. Tap ‘Business’ under the 'Payment defaults' section
  4. Tap 'Add credit card' 
     

To make an existing payment method the default for business rides:

  1. Tap icon with 3 bars in the top-left of the Lyft app
  2. Tap the 'Payment' tab
  3. Tap 'Business' under the 'Payment defaults' section
  4. Select your preferred payment method

 
To remove a credit card or payment type from a Business Profile

  1. Tap icon with 3 bars in the top-left of the Lyft app
  2. Tap the ‘Payment’ tab
  3. Make sure the credit card you want to remove is not set as a default payment method for both your personal rides and your business profile. You can see and change which default payment method you have set for each under the Payment defaults section.
  4. Tap the credit card you want to remove and tap ‘Delete’

    You can only delete a payment method if you have more than one on file — you need to have at least one payment method.


Accepted payment methods

Lyft works with major credit cards (like American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), debit cards tied to checking accounts, and prepaid cards. Passengers may also use PayPal (for iOS and Android users), Apple Pay, and Android Pay.
