In this article, we'll cover:

What is a business profile?

Business profiles live within your personal Lyft account and do the work for you by automatically forwarding ride receipts to your expense report. Business profiles are an easy way for you to separate personal rides from work-related rides.

How to set up a business profile

In business profiles, you’ll be able to set up auto-expensing to automatically forward all ride receipts for your business rides. Follow these simple steps to successfully set up your business profile:

  1. Find and accept your email invitation.
Check your work email inbox for an email from Lyft inviting you to set up your business profile.

    Didn’t receive your invitation email?
If you didn’t receive an email but you expected one, please contact your Lyft Business administrator for help.

  2. You’ll be taken through the business profile set up process.
On the welcome screen, click ‘Next’

  3. Next, we’ll need to locate your Lyft account.
Enter your phone number associated with your Lyft account. We will send a code via text message to your phone number to verify your account.
If you don’t already have a Lyft account, you’ll be asked to sign up during this step. Use your personal email address to create your Lyft account — this will be used as a way to send ride receipts and other communications for your personal rides.

  4. Next, you’ll be asked to specify a default payment method for your business profile.
If you have a personal credit or debit card you prefer to use for business expenses, you can add it and set it as the default card here. If you have a corporate card, you are welcome to add it and set it as the default card here, as well. Every time you ride under your business profile, the ride will automatically be charged to the default card you've set. You also will have the option to change payment methods when requesting a ride.

  5. Select your organization’s expense provider.
This will enable your business profile ride receipts to automatically forward to your expense report for you to review and submit later.

Tap 'Open Lyft app' to be automatically re-directed to the app center or store on your mobile device, download the Lyft app for iOS or Android, create your Lyft account, and start taking business rides
