Your riders' ability to tip varies with each Lyft Business product your organization uses. Tips are always optional and will be charged differently, depending on what payment method and product was used on the ride.
Tipping with Auto Pay
Tips are charged to their default payment method for business rides — whether the payment method is Auto Pay or the employee’s own credit card.
If an employee adds a tip via their ride receipt after the initial payment has been completed, the tip amount will be charged to the employee’s default personal payment method.
Tipping is optional for all business rides. It is not currently possible to prevent employees from including a tip.
Tipping with Lyft Pass
Lyft Pass does not cover tip. Your people can choose to add a tip as part of the payment process; however, ride passes only cover the cost of the ride itself. Any tip will be charged to the employee’s default personal payment method.
Tipping with Concierge
At this time, tipping is unavailable for Concierge rides. Lyft Concierge doesn't allow for tipping at this time. If you would like to see tips made available for Concierge rides, contact us and select ‘Request a new product feature.’
100% of every tip goes to the driver, and the Lyft community has given over $500 million in tips.
