Learn more about how Lyft Business and SAP Concur integration enables organizations to easily adopt Lyft Business and seamlessly manage the onboarding and off-boarding of employees to Lyft Business, all through SAP Concur.
In this article, we'll cover:
What is the Lyft Business and SAP Concur Integration?
The Lyft Business and SAP Concur Expense integration is a secure way for your organization to automate the way you invite employees to join Lyft Business and remove employees who depart from your account. It's a connection between your organization's existing SAP Concur account and Lyft, using an integration that checks for updates to your employee roster in SAP Concur on a daily basis. The integration enables seamless expensing of business rides company-wide, while also giving Travel Managers greater visibility into their employees’ Lyft usage.
How to set up the Lyft Business and SAP Concur Integration
To begin set up, the user who enables the app in Concur’s App Center must be an authorized SAP Concur Administrator. If you are unsure whether you are an SAP Concur Administrator, please refer to the SAP Concur Administrator User Guide.
- Log in to your organization’s SAP Concur account and navigate to the SAP Concur App Center (click on the App Center tab in the upper navigation bar).
-
Enter Lyft Business in the search bar and click on the application. Please ensure you search for Lyft Business to locate the correct app for the integration (do not select the 'Lyft’ app under Popular Connections as that is for individual expense management.)
- Click 'Connect' from the Lyft Business listing page to begin the integration process. You will then see a pop-up window asking you to accept SAP Concur App Center Terms and Conditions, Shared Information, and Access Authorization. By accepting these terms, you agree to be bound by the Concur App Center terms and conditions, as well as partner licensing terms and conditions.
-
Once Terms and Conditions have been accepted, follow the below steps:
- Click 'Sign in to Lyft Business' if you have an existing Lyft Business account and follow the standard sign in flow using your phone number tied to your Lyft Business account.
-
If you are new to Lyft Business and your organization doesn’t have an account yet, click 'Create account' and follow the instructions to sign up for Lyft Business.
- Once you are logged in to your Lyft Business account and/or have finished signing up for an account, your SAP Concur account will be successfully connected to Lyft Business. Next, click 'Continue setup' to continue through the flow to set up the roster sync integration.
- Now, you’re ready to sync your employee roster in SAP Concur to Lyft Business. Click 'Sync & Invite' to start the sync
-
You’ll see a pop-up window stating that all active employees within your SAP Concur account located in the US (where Lyft is available) will be sent an email invitation to create a Business Profile. You have the option to cancel. If you click 'Start sync,' a Success! Syncing started message confirming that the integration was successful and the roster sync is in progress.
- When the sync is complete, a CSV download is available to show how many US employees have a Concur profile. Please note this isn't reflective of the exact number of employees that will be invited — anyone who already has a Lyft Business Profile will not receive an invitation, since they are already set up successfully. The active employees in your SAP Concur account who have not yet created a Lyft Business profile will receive an invitation via email to create a Business Profile under your organization’s Lyft Business account.
-
You’ll be able to view all of your employees who’ve been invited to Lyft Business under the People tab in your Lyft Business Portal. Please note it may take time for your employees to appear in the People tab as the invitation emails will be sent over the coming hours. You will still be able to see your employees in the People tab who have already created a Lyft Business Profile prior to the integration.
Tip: If your employee has accepted their invite and created a Lyft Business Profile under your organization, their full name will appear bolded on the People page. If they have not yet created their Business Profile, you will see only their email address.
-
You can manage the SAP Concur integration in the Lyft Business Portal by clicking 'Settings' in the left sidebar, and clicking 'Automation.' From this page, you can pause or restart the sync at any time.
If a sync is already in progress, SAP Concur will complete the sync first before pausing. You can also unpause the sync any time. Once you unpause (restart) the sync, the system will catch up and re-sync all employees that are currently in SAP Concur.
