About the 'Riders' tab in the Lyft Business Portal

Learn about the ‘Riders’ tab within the Global People Page in the Lyft Business Portal. We’ll cover how administrators can view details of riders - including their email address, name, and invitation status. We’ll also learn about how to resend invites and remove riders from programs and organizations.

In this article, we'll cover:

How to resend invites to rider(s)

For riders who have pending invitations, administrators can easily resend invites directly from the Global People Page:

For individual riders:

  1. Log in to the Lyft Business Portal
  2. Navigate to the 'People' tab and select 'Riders'
  3. Find the rider with pending invites
  4. Click on the three vertical dots next to their status
  5. Choose 'Resend invite' from the menu
  6. A popup will show all programs the rider was previously invited to (pre-selected)
  7. Modify the program list if needed, then confirm to resend

For multiple riders:

  1. Check the boxes next to all riders with pending invites
  2. Click on the bulk action menu
  3. Select 'Resend invite'
  4. Review and modify program selections as needed
  5. Confirm to send invitations

Important: If a rider is invited to multiple programs simultaneously, they will receive only one consolidated email with all program invitations, including individual links for each program and a single link to join all programs at once.

How to remove a rider from a program or organization

Administrators can remove riders from programs or organizations directly from the 'Riders' tab in the Global People Page.

For organizations without SFTP integration:

To remove from specific programs:

  1. Log in to the Lyft Business Portal
  2. Go to the 'People' tab and choose 'Riders'
  3. Find the rider you want to remove
  4. Click on the three vertical dots next to their status
  5. Choose 'Remove from program'
  6. Select which specific programs to remove them from
  7. Confirm the removal

For organizations with SFTP or Concur integration:

Important Warning: If your organization uses SFTP or Concur sync, you'll see a warning message when attempting manual changes. Making manual edits may create conflicts with roster automation, as changes could be undone during the next sync.

For SFTP/Concur organizations, remove riders by updating your shared employee folder or CSV file instead of making manual portal changes.

Learn more about removing people via SFTP here.

How to bulk remove riders

Admins can efficiently remove multiple riders using CSV upload:

  1. Click on the 'Remove via CSV' option above the riders' information table
  2. Select and upload your CSV file
  3. Click 'Next' to proceed
  4. Review the riders to be removed
  5. Select 'Remove riders' to confirm
  6. You'll receive email confirmation once the bulk removal is processed

FAQs

What does "active in last 30 days" mean?

This indicates whether a rider has taken a Lyft Business ride within the past 30 days.

Why don't I see some riders' names?

For privacy reasons, rider names are only displayed after they have accepted their program invitations.

What if I need to add new riders?

To invite new riders to programs, navigate to the specific product pages (Business Profiles, Lyft Pass, or Concierge) rather than the Global People Page. This ensures riders are added to the correct programs.
